दराज़ ज़ुल्फ़ों के साये जहाँ पे छाये रहें,
तुम्हारे हुस्न के जलवे जिगर लुभाये रहें।
न कोई राह, न रहबर, न कुछ उजाला हो,
हसीन आँखों के शोले शम्अें जलाये रहें।

دراز زلفوں کے سائے
دراز زلفوں کے سائے جہاں پہ چھائے رہیں
تمہارے حسن کے جلوے جگر لبھائے رہیں
نہ کوئی راہ، نہ رہبر، نہ کچھ اجالا ہو
حسین آنکھوں کے شعلے شمعیں جلائے رہیں
Roman transliteration
Daraz zulfon ke saaye jahaan pe chhaye rahein,
Tumhaare husn ke jalwe jigar lubhaaye rahein.
Na koi raah, na rahbar, na kuchh ujaala ho,
Haseen aankhon ke shole shamein jalaaye rahein.
English translation
May the shadows of long tresses linger wherever they fall,
May the splendours of your beauty keep enchanting the heart.
Though there be no path, no guide, no light at all,
May the light of your eyes illumine all paths
